Master 2 (Organic Chemistry Research) Caen-Rouen
The course aims to provide theoretical, methodological and technical knowledge in organic and analytical chemistry, allowing students to conduct research in conditions which encourage imagination and independence along with practical sense and critical thinking.
A general scientific culture based around different domains of organic and analytical chemistry:
The COBRA laboratory is a mixed research unit (UMR-6014) combining the CNRS, INSA Rouen and the University of Rouen. It is located at the IRCOF (Institute of Fine Organic Chemistry Research) at the University of Rouen, in Mont Saint Aignan. One of the major assets of the laboratory is the fact that it develops its research activities in both Organic Synthesis and Analytical Chemistry. It has exceptional technical support facilities (C2I Orga) with state of the art equipment for the latest innovative methods. COBRA has recognized expertise in heterocyclic, organometallic, fluorine, bioorganic and analytical chemistry. The research touches the domains of pharmaceuticals, medical imaging, cosmetics, food processing, the environment and energy. Our Missions : Discover new concepts, innovative methodologies of synthesis and new structures, analyze structures and mechanisms, develop the interaction between chemistry and biosciences, contribute to the transfer of expertise to industry, train quality professionals through research.
