BIOGRAPHY

Antoine Joosten received his master’s degree from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. He was admitted to ENS Paris Saclay where he obtained “Agrégation” in physical sciences. In 2009, he received his PhD in organic chemistry regarding the use of titane and zirconium in bimetallic catalysis and stereoselective synthesis at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne under the supervision of Pr. Jan Szymoniak and Dr. Jean-Luc Vasse. He then joined the group of Prof. Jean-Pierre Sauvage and Prof. Valérie Heitz as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Strasbourg and worked on the synthesis of a new molecular machine. After postdoctoral positions at Stockholm University with Prof. Jan-Erling Bäckvall in the field of palladium catalysis in oxidative conditions and with Prof. Philippe Compain in the field of multivalensy, he was appointed assistant professor in 2013 at INSA de Rouen Normandie to work with Prof. Thomas Lecourt in the team Heterocycles.
