BIOGRAPHY

Franck LE DERF received M.S. from the University of Toulouse (1994) where he worked on supramolecular chemistry. He obtained his PhD in 1998 of the Universities of Angers (France) and Zaragoza (Spain) on redox responsive ligands incorporating the tetrathiafulvalene unit. In 1999, he joined the Laboratory Chimie des Surfaces et des Interfaces, CEA – Saclay, Paris as a post-doctoral fellow. In 2000, he became assistant professor at the Laboratory Chimie, Ingénierie Moléculaire et Matériaux at the University of Angers and worked on the synthesis of functionalized tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derivatives and Immobilization of surface. In 2008, he received his habilitation and was promoted to full Professor in 2010 at the University of Rouen and the laboratory COBRA. His current main research interests are surface modification, analytical chemistry, biosensors for immobilization of surface moleculars receptors by surface modifications (electroconducting polymers, self assembled monolayers, electrografting…). He has published over 88 research papers, 1 patent.
