Michaël DE PAOLIS

CR

Exploratory methodology for organic and organometallic synthesis team

BIOGRAPHY

Michaël De Paolis received his Ph.D. degree in 2003 under the guidance of Dr. Jieping Zhu (ICSN, Gif sur Yvette) on the total synthesis of ecteinascidin 743. After post-doctoral stays with Professors Istvan Marko (UCL, Belgium) and Léon Ghosez (IECB, Pessac) in the fields of organocatalysis and total synthesis (with Rhodia and Syngenta fellowships), he joined the CNRS as Chargé de Recherches (Research Associate) in 2007 at the University of Rouen in the group of Dr. Jacques Maddaluno (COBRA), beginning his research on the synthesis of aureothin and g-pyrone containing natural products. His interests encompass asymmetric synthesis using carbanions, organocatalysis, domino reactions and total synthesis of natural products.
