Thomas CASTANHEIRO

Associate Professor, Rouen Normandy University

Fluorinated biomolecules synthesis team

BIOGRAPHY

Thomas Castanheiro obtained his PhD in organic chemistry at Strasbourg university in 2016 under the supervision of Dr Mihaela Gulea and Dr Morgan Donnard. In 2017 he moved to Duke University in Durham (US) as postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Jennifer Roizen for 19 months. After coming back to France as a postdoctoral associate at the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles under supervision of Dr Arnaud Voituriez for 12 months, he has been appointed as associate professor since 2019 at Rouen university. His current researches in the Fluorinated Biomolecules Synthesis team at COBRA laboratory focuses on the development of new synthetic methodologies to access heterocycles or aminated chemicals through photoredox catalysis or electrochemistry.
