BIOGRAPHY

Yvan Ramondenc received his Ph.D from the University Rouen in France in 1992 under the supervision of Pr. Pierre Duhamel on the “Nouveaux réactifs de polyvinylogation, Synthèse de tri-, tétra- et hexaénals. Accès à des polyènes linéaires“. After his Ph.D, he undertook postdoctoral research with Pr. Bernhard Kräutler, Institut für Organische und Pharmazeutische Chemie, Leopold-Franzens-Universitât Innsbruck, Austria, working in the “three‐dimensionally structured” porphyrins. In September 1994, he was appointed as assistant professor (MCF) at UFR Sciences, University Rouen and joined the research group of Pr. Gérard Plé.

In 2008, he was appointed professor at IUT, Rouen and joined Hétérocycles Team, COBRA Laboratory. His research interests encompass the development of new reaction involving C(sp2)/C(sp3)−H activation for the construction or construction/functionalization of heterocycles.
